I was contracted to design and develop a logo and brand identity for Aspera, a startup wholesale provider of mobile and smart phone devices to be distributed in Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Island regions.
The brand is made up of three core ranges- feature phones, smart phones and a range of ruggedised handsets for the trade, construction and mining industries. Covering three distinctly diverse target niches with varying price points for wholesale distribution, the brand had to be flexible enough to sit confidently across these three ranges as well as communicate the brand core values: current technology, durability, affordability and quality.
The project began with the development of a logo and supporting graphic device which could be applied to the handsets. The logo was then paired with selected imagery, representative of each range, to communicate the brand’s unique breadth of target market in a friendly and engaging way. A ‘range colour’ was then applied during the development of a digital spec. presentation, alongside a set of display materials used at the brand’s launch.
As the brand evolved I was re-engaged to apply it successfully to various print based collateral, such as packaging, flyers and trade show display items as well as online projects.
